  2. if only assumption II is implicit.
  3. if either I or II is implicit.
  4. if neither I nor II is implicit.
  5. if both I and II are implicit.

Nobody can predict as to how long our country would take to contain the unfortunate and disastrous terrorist activities
Assumptions:
I. It is impossible to put an end to terrorist activities
II. Efforts to control the terrorist activities are on

d) if neither I nor II is implicit.

Answer: (b)

The statement expresses concern over the issue as to when our country would be able to curb terrorism completely. This means that efforts are on and it is quite possible to put an end to terrorist activities although it could take longer.

So, only II is implicit

Highly brilliant and industrious students do not always excel in the written examination.
Assumptions:

Both are implicit.
